Started playing football when his family moved from New Zeland to Hawaii during high school because there was no rugby
Before BYU
Played as a freshman in 2011 for New Mexico State prior to serving an LDS mission
Started 11 games in 12 appearances for the Aggies while totaling 15 receptions for 122 yards, including one catch for eight yards in a start against BYU in LaVell Edwards Stadium
A native of Aotearoa, New Zealand, Kaka later lived on the Australian Gold Coast before moving to Hawaii where he attended Kahuku High School
Played both defensive line and tight end at Kahuku
