Before BYU
- Prepped at Lone Peak High School
- Named to Deseret News 6A All-State second team in 2016 and 2017
- Helped Lone Peak to back-to-back state runner-up finishes as a sophomore and a junior
- Named All-Region in 2015, 2016 and 2017 as well as academic All-Region
- Knights had a 34-6 record during his three years on the varsity squad
- Also played varsity baseball and basketball
- Coached by Bart Brockbank and Mike Mower
