 - Ranked a top-100 recruit in the state of California
 - Selected to play in the Polynesian Bowl in Hawaii his senior year
 - A two-time All-South Coast League and All-CIF performer at both linebacker (2015) as a junior and tight end (2016) as a senior
 - Played alongside Utah starting TE Cole Fotheringham as a junior
 - Named Athlete of the Year at San Clemente High School
 - Was also recruited to play basketball, lettering twice as a first-team All-South Coast shooting guard as a senior for coach Mark Popovich
