- Recorded a career-high 131 receiving yards in BYU's 35-27 win over Cincinnati
- Named Sports Center's Highlight of the Night on Sept. 16 for game-winning, one-handed touchdown grab in 38-31 win at Arkansas

- Played in 11 games, starting three
- Recorded 22 grabs for 357 yards and three touchdowns
- Became the sixth BYU freshman and first since Cody Hoffman (2010) to to record a 100-yard receiving game with 122 yards and a touchdown reception in BYU's 26-20 (2OT) win over No. 9 Baylor on Sept. 10. Roberts added a touchdown pass to quarterback Jaren Hall in the game as well.
- Became only the second freshman in BYU history to record 100+ receiving yards and a touchdown against an AP Top 10 team. The other is tight end Daniel Coats (eight receptions, 114 yards and a touchdown at No. 4 USC in 2003).
- Recorded three receptions for 41 yards (13.7 per grab) in first career game as BYU beat USF 50-21 on Sept. 3.
