Responsibilities
Coordinator of Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation for BYU athletics. Mortensen is an instructor in the BYU Exercise Science Department. He is involved in a variety of ongoing research studies. His research interests are currently have an emphasis in concussion as well as injury prediction and management. Mortensen’s dissertation focused on using the FMS to improve the safety of athletes at BYU. He is a member of the National Athletic Trainers’ Association and the American Physical Therapy Association. He also serves on the Athletic Training Licensing Board for the State of Utah.
