• Region champion in the 800, 1600, 3200 meters and region cross country champion his junior year
• Five-time state champion in high school
• Won the state championship in cross country, 1600 meters, 3200 meters and medley relay his junior year
• Received a social science sterling scholar award
• Named Academic All-State in track and cross country
