Season Ticket Pricing

The Cougar Club is the official booster organization for BYU Athletics. Your donation helps pay for BYU Athletics expenses including student-athlete scholarships, recruiting expenses, and funding the facilities and programs associated with each of BYU's 21 athletic teams. The Cougar Club is the strongest avenue for individuals to earn season ticket selection priority, ticket presales and other promotions.

Facility donors are a select group of fans who contributed financially to the building of the Marriott Center. Thanks to their original donation, they are entitled to purchase seats in the arena each season. As part of their initial contract, these seats can be passed down one generation. These are the only seats that may be inherited by a family member.

Season ticket limits are dependent on Cougar Club level. See below to find out where you qualify. Availability is subject to demand.

Individuals are assigned a date and time at which they become eligible to purchase season tickets. You may purchase season tickets starting at your selection time until seat selection closes. In order to get the best available seats, it is in your best interest to select your seats at the earliest possible time. 

We assign these selection times by Cougar Club level and priority points, ensuring those exhibiting significant philanthropic and ticketing support to BYU Athletics recieve priority selection.

Selection times during reseating are determined by your priority point total. Points are awarded based on membership level, past donation history, and the number of consecutive years you've purchased season tickets.

The Formula:

Cougar Club Members receive the opportunity to select and purchase season tickets for all ticketed sports, according to their Club Membership level. Within each membership level, the order in which members select their season tickets is based on Priority Points, which are calculated as follows:

• 1 point for each dollar donated to the Cougar Club
• 100 points for each year of continuous season ticket purchase for football and men’s basketball
• 500 points for each East Club seat purchased 2003-2015 (football)
• 1,000 points for each Legacy Club seat ever purchased (football)
• 2,000 points for each Courtside seat ever purchased (men’s basketball)
• Additional points may be provided for licensing a Suite, participating in Cougar Club/Athletic Auctions, or other activities.

Even if you're not currently a Cougar Club member, you may still have priority points from past season ticket purchases. Lapsed Cougar Club members also retain credit for previous donations, which contribute to their overall points total.

Example:

Leslie has been a Cougar Club member for five years, donates $150 annually, and holds two men’s basketball season tickets. As a Royal Cougar level member, she earns priority points from both her giving and her ticket history.

Ron is not a Cougar Club member but has maintained three men’s basketball season tickets for the past 10 years. His consistent ticket purchases earn him priority points, even without a donation history.

Ann is a new Cougar Club member who recently donated $100,000 to BYU Athletics. Her donation qualifies her for a higher Cougar Club level, giving her a top-tier priority selection window—even though she’s new to the program.

In this example, Ann would select seats first, due to her high Cougar Club level resulting from donations. Leslie would select second, followed by Ron third.

Keep in mind: increasing your donation or joining the Cougar Club can improve your place in line, but we cannot guarantee how many others will enter the process at higher levels. This is why renewing the same seats from previous seasons isn’t possible prior to reseating. Due to growing interest and limited inventory, BYU Athletics must balance loyalty and support with ongoing demand.

All eligible participants will receive a selection time to select seats based on their priority level, but availability is not guaranteed. Available seats will depend on the number of fans ahead in line and how many tickets they purchase.

Seat location for facility donors will not be affected. You will be able to renew your seats included in your contract.

If you choose not to renew, all seats will return to BYU, and you will not be eligible to purchase them going forward.
