Career Summary
A very versatile player, Madison Merrell spent time in the outfield, at first base and pitching during her time at BYU. She made eight appearances in the circle as a freshman and had two seasons with 35-plus starts. Merrell was also named a 2018 All-WCC Honorable Mention. Merrell helped the Cougars win the conference title and advance to NCAA Regionals each of her four years.

- Played for team Arizona in the Adidas softball tournament in St. George
- MVP for Queen Creek softball team in 2011
- Player of the year in 4A division in 2014
- Athlete of the year in 4A division in 2014
- Female athlete of the year in 2014
- All-America Scholar Athlete Award in 2014
- Finished with a .577 batting average in 2014
- Had 166 strikeouts and 1.32 ERA in 2014
- 10th in the state of Arizona for home runs in 2014
- Recruited by BYU Hawai'i
- Also played volleyball for the first two years of high school
