BYU50 is a scavenger hunt based fan contest where BYU fans try to find hidden prize boxes in their home state across all all 50 states of the USA. The contest is spread over 50 days leading up to the kickoff of football season.

Fans can download the BYU Cougars mobile app and follow the directions at the bottom of this page to attempt to win the Grand Prize Box and First Place Box in their home state.

The first person/group to arrive at each drop location will win the First Place Box.

A select number of people that arrive quickly, but not in first place, will win exclusive t-shirts and decals. Quantities vary by drop location and are available on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Anyone that arrives at the location and submits a photo within the 1 hour time limit is entered to win the Grand Prize Box for their state.

Around 7:00PM local time on weekday drops, 12:00PM (noon) on Saturday drops, the location clue will be revealed for the drop location(s) in your state.

You do not have to be the first to arrive in order win the Grand Prize Box, but merely must arrive to the location and submit a selfie within the time limit of 1 hour after the location is revealed.

However, the first to arrive at the drop location will receive a "First Place Box" with some exclusive collectibles and swag, in addition to their entry for the grand prize box for that location. Additionally, a select number of people that arrive quickly, but not in first place, will win exclusive t-shirts and decals.

Due to high demand in the states of Utah and Idaho, rather than doing a photo-based scavenger hunt like other states, we will do what we have done in years past, which is in-person competitions/games across the state. Stay tuned to @BYUCougars social media for updates.

Participation in the BYU50 Scavenger Hunt is open to all BYU Fans. Each state will have one designated winner, although some states may feature multiple drop locations. Participants are welcome to visit multiple drop sites to increase their chances of winning. To validate your participation and entry, you must take a photo at the drop site. Winners will be contacted by BYU Athletics via email to request their shipping address. By participating, you agree to these terms and conditions.
