Before BYU
- Played offensive tackle at Snow College (2020-2021)
- Helped the Badgers earn a ranking as high as No. 2 and a No. 4 final ranking while advancing to the first-ever NJCAA playoff in 2021, finishing 7-1
- Helped Snow College go 8-1 and finish as the NJCAA national runner-up during the COVID-impacted 2020-21 season
- Rated a three-star recruit by ESPN and 247Sports out of Hawthorne HS
- Coached by former BYU wide receiver Zac Erekson at Snow College and by Donald Paysinger in high school
- Also recruited by Maryland, West Virginia, UCF, Boise State, Fresno State, UNLV, UAB and Buffalo
