top BYU runner at the Mountain West Classic, finishing third overall in 21:04...ran a season-best 17:07 to finish ninth at the Stanford Invitational...sixth at the WAC Championships... earned All-American status as a freshman when she finished third for the Cougars and 31st overall at the NCAA Championships...

Sophmore Year 1999

competed in the indoor 3000m for the track and field team...provisionally qualified for the NCAAs with a 9:26 outdoor 3000m at the Cardinal Invitational and a 16:29 5000m at the Mt. SAC Relays...second in the outdoor 3000m at the WAC Championships...14th at the NCAA Championships in the outdoor 3000m...earned another All American letter for her 26th-place finish at the NCAA cross country championships...finished first for the Cougars at the Stanford and Pre-National Invitationals...placed fourth at the MWC championships, where she was named All-MWC 1st team...also named academic All-MWC.
