Before BYU
- Competed in both cross country and track at Timpview High School and lettered all four years in both
- Captain of the track team her senior year, MVP junior year and senior year placed third in the two mile at state with a time of 11:21 and fifth in the mile with a 5:13 Captain of the cross country team senior year, MVP junior and senior year
- On the school swim team, cheer squad and was student body secretary
- Graduated with high honors
